ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Ken Miller has 25 years of financial sector experience, and before joining First Hawaiian Bank was a Senior Research Analyst at JP Morgan Securities and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.  Prior to his business career, he was a physician in clinical practice.  Ken holds an M.B.A. with Distinction from Cornell University and is a CFA charter holder.  He is Director and Vice President for CFA Society Hawaii and a board member for the University of Hawaii Foundation, the Pacific-Asian Center for Entrepreneurship (PACE), and Kahala Nui.

Mufi Hannemann was born and raised in Hawaii.  He is an honors graduate of Iolani School and Harvard University.  He has had an extensive career in the public, private and nonprofit sectors including a management and executive stint with C. Brewer & Company where he worked before being tapped as the director of DBEDT.  He was elected to the Honolulu City Council where he served as its chair before being elected twice as the mayor of Honolulu.  Mufi is also the founder of the Pacific Century Fellows-Hawaii's most prestigious leadership development initiative.  He currently serves as the president & CEO of the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association where he has consistently championed the local tourism industry.  Through the pandemic, Mufi has been a voice and an advocate for Hawaii's top economic sector.
