Keli’i Akina, Ph.D. will highlight significant results from this year's Hawaii legislative session. He will discuss the major tax reform bills which passed, such as the income tax cut and the pass-through entity bill, and also touch upon the death of the estate tax reform bill, which would have helped local businesses stay in local hands. And he will discuss other major bills passed by the Legislature, such as housing bills and medical reforms, and their effect on Hawaii’s economy.
